The Roman poet Virgil wrote a series of poems called simply the "Georgics" or the "farmers".  The poems promote the belief that the "way" you farm matters.  Farming isn't a job to us, it's a way of life, it is quite literally what we do.  Georgic Farming builds long term relationships between farmers and eaters, people and providence, it promotes natural soil health and fertility, it sees the farmer as an inherent part of the landscape not an interloper, it denotes a responsibility to understand the legacy of our forebears and to future generations to preserve the land we farm, leaving them a beautiful foundation to begin their lives with.  We believe what Daniel Webster, the great American orator said "Let us never forget that the cultivation of the earth is the most important labor of man.  When tillage begins, other arts follow.  The farmers, therefore, are the founders of civilization."
